Dear Alumni Member,

Another year has passed since our last newsletter. War was declared, one hundred young people were lost in a devastating nightclub fire and the unforgettable winter of 2002-2003. On a happier note, 150 babies were born while their mothers and fathers served on the USS Abraham Lincoln stationed in the gulf, we have raised more than half of the money for our memorabilia project, and we honored sixteen members of the class of 1952 a and b. This year we will commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the graduation of the class of 1953 a and b. Ironically the Korean war was fought in 1953, Worcester suffered a horrific tornado, and Sir Edmund Hillary completed his climb of Mount Everest. Join us in September to honor these ladies of ’53. I wish you a hot and fun-filled summer.

Memorabilia Wall Project

We continue to receive donations to our project. The Worcester Telegram and Gazette wrote an article about the project, and I have gotten some generous donations. I received two from members of Martha Page Sagendoph (Our first graduate in 1902 ) family and others from very loyal alumni members. We have raised about $ 5000 of the $7500 projected cost. All contributions were gladly accepted !!

WHHSON Pins are available to those that need a replacement, due to the generosity of grads that have turned in their pins. Anyone that needs a pin, simply send a stamped self addressed padded mailing envelope to
